Stones and metals
These twenty are the inexpensive ones on purpose. We do not sell diamond, emerald, sapphire, ruby, opal, pearl, aquamarine, topaz, turquoise or garnet. If the usual stone is one of those, you get the cheap stand-in. Peridot is not on that dear list, but we do not have any, so Leo gets tiger's eye.
For Scorpio, Aquarius and Pisces we use the old rulers (Mars, Saturn and Jupiter), not Pluto, Uranus and Neptune. The metal column below is for the sun sign. If the survey guesses a rising sign, the metal follows the rising sign instead, from this same list.

The twenty we keep
Clear quartz. A water-clear crystal. Our Pisces stone, instead of aquamarine.
Amethyst. Purple quartz. The usual Aquarius stone, and cheap enough to send as itself.
Rose quartz. A pale pink lump. Our Cancer stone, instead of ruby.
Smoky quartz. Brown-grey quartz. Not tied to one sign here; people say it is for grounding.
Citrine. Yellow quartz, this one a cut stone. Our Scorpio stone, instead of topaz.
Tiger's eye. Golden-brown, with a band that catches the light. Our Leo stone, instead of peridot.
Carnelian. An orange-red chalcedony pebble. Our Aries stone, instead of diamond.
Red jasper. An opaque dark red stone. Our Capricorn stone, instead of garnet.
Agate. Banded quartz. Our Gemini stone; pearl is the dear modern one, agate is the older cheap one.
Green aventurine. A sparkly green quartz. Our Taurus stone, instead of emerald.
Obsidian. Black volcanic glass. Not a sign stone here; people say it is for protection.
Fluorite. A pale green cubic crystal. Our Libra stone, instead of opal.
Sodalite. A blue rock with white veins. Our Virgo stone, instead of sapphire.
Howlite. A white stone with grey veins. Our Sagittarius stone, instead of turquoise.
Hematite. A heavy metallic iron mineral. Not a sign stone here; people say it is grounding.
Aluminium. A light silvery chunk. For Cancer (instead of silver) and Leo (instead of gold).
Iron. Iron chips and a small cube. For Aries and Scorpio. That is Mars's metal.
Copper. Native copper, reddish and lumpy. For Taurus and Libra. That is Venus's metal.
Zinc. A grey crystalline lump. For Gemini and Virgo instead of quicksilver, and for Capricorn and Aquarius instead of lead.
Tin. A soft silvery blob. For Sagittarius and Pisces. That is Jupiter's metal.
